Video: Getting ready to board the bus, from our hotel. As part of our Hajj activities in Saudi Arabia’s Madinah, we went on Ziyarat – which is the act of visiting sacred, historical, and religiously significant places in the holy city of Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
When performing Ziyarat, pilgrims focus on sending peace and blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ and quietly reflecting on Islam’s history, rather than doing ritual worship at the graves themselves.
Out of curiosity, I decided to do a little research on Ziyarat and Madinah, respectively – and I’ve decided to share my findings in this write-up for those who, like me, may wish to learn more.
